EPS is the abbreviation for Expanded PolyStyrene (expanded polystyrene).

We are confronted with EPS every day. The white shock absorbing packaging of electric appliances, for example, are made of EPS. The white trays, onto which meat or fish is packaged, are made of EPS. Apart from this EPS is also very important as insulation material in the building sector. In Belgium the brand name Isomo is often used instead of EPS.

Pure EPS is relatively easy to recycle.
