Flat roofs of corrugated steel sheet with a high fire resistance - Pirotherm G08
Onto the corrugated steel sheets fire retardant mortar Pirotherm G08 is applied, which has been toughened with the necessary reinforcement. The entire corrugated steel sheet - reinforcement - mortar has a fire resistance Rf of 1h (NBN 713-020) at a span of 6m and a maximum load of 100 kg/m². On the corrugated steel sheets the reinforcement consisting of trellis girders (height 90 mm) and reinforcement netting (meshes 100x100 mm, diameter 6 mm) is placed onto special spacers, and built up as described in the test report with regard to the fire resistance. Subsequently the fire retardant Pirotherm G08 mortar is applied. The mortar is sufficiently levelled to allow the water sealing to be applied directly onto it. After a setting time of 3 to 10 days, depending on temperature and humidity, the water sealing can be placed.
Pirotherm G08 is composed of pure recycled EPS granules, vermiculite, perlite, additives and cement as a binding agent. The mortar is mixed on site or delivered by mixer vehicles and pumped onto the roof while excluding screed air conveyance in order to safeguard the granules’ insulating value and the homogeneity of the mixture.
