Choosing STYROBET is also a sustainable choice

More than 90% of the volume of Styrobet consists of EPS granules. These are not simply EPS granules for which raw materials have been extracted from the ground, but EPS granules originating from the re-use of waste.

When applying Styrobet neither are any gases released that may be irritating or even harmful to persons using the product or the environment.

Choosing Styrobet offers triple sustainability:

  • the lower weight than a sand-cement screed means its transport has less of an environmental impact 
  • the re-use of EPS waste represents a reduction of the waste mountain; EPS waste is usually considered a problem-waste material that is still often incinerated 
  •  the re-use of EPS waste also means savings of consumed natural resources (for example compared to sprayed foam for which new raw materials must be used).
